The Heart Behind AANGĪ Nepal

As someone deeply involved in ventures like Makkusé, Mhendo Hotel & Suites, and Samarthya Nepal, I have always been driven by one core belief:

Nepal has far more to offer the world than we ourselves have believed.

Through Makkusé, we worked to preserve the emotions, traditions, and nostalgia of Nepali heritage through authentic desserts and gifting. Through Mhendo, we tried to create spaces of warmth, peace, wellness, and meaningful experiences in the heart of Kathmandu. Through Samarthya Nepal, we envision a future where Nepal participates confidently in the global digital and innovation economy.

Yet deep inside me, there was always another calling. A desire to create something that represented the soul of Nepal itself.

Growing up in Nepal, I witnessed the beauty of simplicity: the touch of natural fabrics, the strength of our communities, the wisdom of living close to nature, and the dignity of craftsmanship passed through generations.

At the same time, I also saw a painful reality: while the world increasingly values sustainability and conscious living, Nepal — a country blessed with natural resources, craftsmanship, and identity — often remains only a supplier of raw potential instead of becoming a creator of globally respected brands.

AANGĪ Nepal was born from the belief that this must change. This is not merely a clothing brand. It is a statement about who we are and who we can become.

We chose hemp because it reflects everything we believe in: strength with softness, simplicity with sophistication, nature with innovation, and sustainability with long-term responsibility.

To me, AANGĪ represents a future where Nepal is not known only for mountains, but also for world-class sustainable products, conscious luxury, and meaningful global brands rooted in authenticity.

Every thread carries a story: of our land, our people, our artisans, our resilience, and our hope for a more self-reliant Nepal.

As the brainchild behind AANGĪ Nepal, my dream is not simply to sell apparel. My dream is to help build a globally respected Nepali lifestyle brand that creates pride for Nepalese people everywhere — from villages in the Himalayas to cities across the world.
